In 1911 Stephen Carr left Liverpool, England on the Ship "Carthaginin" and arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 23, 1911. He was a proud father of 6 children; however, by the time he'd see his family again later that year the baby "Mary Jane Carr" had passed away on their trip over.
About 5 months later, Sarah and the children leave Liverpool, England on the Ship "Mongolian" and arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 22, 1911. The story has it that Sarah Jane (Catterall) Carr held Little Mary the whole time after her death, because Sarah didn't want Little Mary to be buried at sea. On the passenger list as the person checked each person off with a check mark, they wrote "dead" next to Mary Jane Carr.
The Life Story of Stephen and Sarah Jane (Catterall) Carr -- Part one is their story, Part two Stephen's parents story and Part three is Sarah's parents story. It will continue to grow as I find the proof I need for each generation. {and remember: You can always click on the image to make it bigger} The first blog entry is a table of content, which will be updated each time I add an entry.
